Altazurra's stunning ensemble above embodies many of the trends for fall 2015: marsala, the pantone color of the year 70's hippie chic elements like granny boots, fringe, leather and suede (think Janis Joplin at her best) , and fur trim as in sumptuous, luxe fur collars
Jill Stuart's suede trench is spot on for fall 2015. That rusty, caramel color that was so in forty years ago still prevails. And suede was everywhere on the runway..... there were also lots of suede fringed vests like we are seeing for spring.
Joie's outfit certainly says 70's chic. The suede elements continue to be pervasive and A line skirts have made a very strong comeback.
See by Chloe features another very prominent trend....... prints. Both geometrics and florals floated down the runway and, of course, were paired with suede and fringed accessories.
This mini dress from Etro embodies all of the 70's trends, and let's not forget to point out the retro chic mini skirt length.
This fabulous dress by Adam Lippes is a testament to 70's lace, and those boots were made for walking'!
Tibi does a great job of bringing together lots of textures in this outfit. Fall 2015 is quite tactile, as in soft and fuzzy. Even her shoes get in the act.
Zac by Zac Posen picked the right color, and, of course the perfect accessory.
And, finally, Missoni always gets it! Need I mention the chunky 70's heels!
So what's a jewelry designer to think of all this? I'm betting on bolder, architectural jewelry for fall in rich vibrant colors. Stay tuned!
